Does anyone have pictures of the chrome headers on their car? I'm interested in how they look. The only bad thing (imo) about these headers is the header, y pipe connection. I wanted to run tsp duals so these headers are out.

I installed my BBK headers last night and they slipped right in with no modification. These are by far the best fitting headers Ive ever installed on any vehicle.

Installed mine this weekend. Both sides slipped right in from the top with the coil packs removed. Both would have slid all the way onto the ground if I had let go of them.

I have had mine on and running with my new 383 motor and They are great. I got the Chrome version and they look great. The fitment is perfect, the y-pipe is very nice, and they do not scrape at all. Had the Wife, Daughter and 8 12 packs of soda in the car and was able to go over every speed bump we in the parking lot without any issues.. Cant beat it for 350.00

dude just wondering, since bbk is using your car as a test dummy i have to ask did they charge you for this, it would be awesome if they didn't, they look really nice and the fitment looks good as well, i just wish more companys used the ball and socket connection like the stockers came with, they always seal the best in my opinion... sweet ride man!!

Thanks man

No they sponsored me for quite a few things... Long Tubes, Y-Pipe, Intake Manifold, Throttle Body and Fuel Rails... so yea... no charge, but they did have my car for 2-3 months total while I waited anxiously

Well worth the wait and haven't had a problem with ANY of it... except for the throttle body. Had some tuning issues with it so I went back with the stocker. Everything else has performed flawlessly though!

Here's a video they took with the fuel rails. They did a cool little driving manuever towards the end...

I just got finished installing my headers and y pipe and I must say these headers installed very easy and the fitment was great. The driver side slid right in from the top and the pasenger side I pulled the valve cover off and it went in but was tight.

IMO one of the best features of these headers is the ball flanges. Very easy to take apart compared to slip fit & clamp style flanges. Really made my cyl head swap go smooth. Not ideal if you want the TSP TDs as thats a slip fit system.

I just picked up my set of ceramic coated BBk's from brother's performance in Deland fl. They defiantly appear to be great quality. I am waiting on a few more pieces to come in to start the install. I see that some people are having success installing these from the top. I might have to give that a shot. I will post my review once its all in. Im thinking it will be great from what i can see with the product and the reviews i have read here.

I dont think a catted Y is an option with these. You could have cats installed in the Y though, headers have O2 sensor holes & the Y has them on each side, with plugs in them. Perfect for a wideband sensor.

Rasp? I can honestly say I have very little to no rasp (if any at all) with my H/C GMMG setup. Someone will chime in claiming ALL GMMG catbacks with no cats, cam have rasp but mine sounds pretty clean.

yeah...your right about the cats....no big deal...
no rasp is a plus...how much more volume of loudness did your gmmg acheive? was it obviously noticiable that headers were installed? I'm reffering to loudness in a good "header install " way..

and for you chrome bbk guy's...why not ceramic coated? doesn't this improve the longevity of the headers?..I know it's cheaper for chrome, but won't they take a **** sooner?

The headers were one of the 1st mods I did, gave it a much better sound. Installed the cam shortly after, sounded even better. I had a Borla muffler on the car, installed by the previous owner. Car was fairly quiet with it(even with LTs, ORY & cam) but the baffles started rattling. A few months after the cam I installed the GMMG catback. I remember the first night I drove the car after & I was like for about a week every time I got on it good. That catback REALLY made the car sound a lot meaner, like it has a lot bigger cam in it. Even one of our used car salesman at work made a comment when I had it idling on the lot. He said " wow, sounds like that cam has a lil more duration to it now"! It is a loud catback, but not quite as obnoxious as a LM1. More refined IMO.

I would think so, thats why I got the ceramic ones.

No rasp at all here... I really think the catback you choose has a lot to do with it though. I had the SLP Loudmouth on mine for 3 days... had some rasp, but was just obnoxiously loud. And not a good sounding loud either. I swapped to a Magnaflow catback and there was a World of difference. Sounds much better and meaner now. The over all quality of the sound is great.

As far as the coating... I'd recommend the ceramic coating. BBK's coating isn't that cheap stuff that flakes off either. It lasts... Mine still look new after all this time. I have chrome ones on my mustang. They are nice, but change colors, and will probably eventually start to rust over time since they are not coated....

Even the ceramic coated ones will get some rust spots on them. I have some spots on mine, mainly at the collector area.
