If the y-pipe is rattling, I would bet money that duals will too. How old are motor mounts? Another solution is either the mufflex bumpstop hanger, or the BFH mod on the floorboard.

BFH=big ******* hammer, which means beating the **** out of your floorboards and anything else in the way so your pipes won't touch them and rattle. If I were you, dont do this caveman ****. Spend the extra time and do the prothane mounts. I did it with the LT's already installed. It's definately worth it once everything is said and done.

It might be primitive, but sometimes it's the last resort to get better clearance after tucking the pipes up as high as they could go. Caveman ****

You're right, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make it work. Prothane mounts are a good choice though. I was real skeptical before I did them because I read how much of a pain in the *** they are to install with LT's in the way. It was a hard job, but no more banging ORY! Like I stated earlier, you will thank yourself when it's all said and done.

I did prothane mounts too... well, after getting one in I said **** it and brought it to my friend's shop to do the other I'd have rather swapped the cam again than do motor mounts. Any day.

If I were to put the motor mounts on while my car is on the lift and all whole exhaust off would it still be a PITA
