Takin a break installing LT's, quick question
After getting started a nearly 2 days later than I wanted, I began installing my PS LT's. So far, removal of components on drivers side has been uneventful, other than noticing that the Air tube gasket was nearly non-existent.
My question while I take a break is this. After all the posts I read, I completely forgot about that damn metal "block" that protrudes out. I was within mm of getting the header to go right up and poof! There was that little block "tab".
So.....grind it down? cut it off? best course of action would be??
I appreciat the help

Grind it or get the car higher, everyone is different. Just a little more clearance and you might be able to work around it. Perfect example:
Did my PS LTs on my car when I first got them, had to cut the tab off. Did the SAME EXACT LTs (took 'em off my car and sold to a member, helped him put them on) on a 99 car. Tab was in the way. Jacked up a touch higher, wiggled around it, and they slid right up in. If you wanna cut, a sawzall makes very short work of it.

header made it in!, now some bolt questions, gasket, etc.
Got the little tab off - gotta love a sawzall. Header made it up in there after I cut that little S.O.B off. Is there a torque spec for PS LT's? The included instructions are really vague. Also, included was a "block off plate" for air and 3 gaskets. 2 same size, and 1 thats same size as that block off plate.? Any ideas on this??

11ft-lbs first pass, 18ft-lbs 2nd pass. You probably will NOT get a torque wrench on all the bolts. It is important to torque from the inside of the engine outward. Meaning, of the 6 bolts, torque the middle two first, and move outward, alternating each side. The block off plates? I don't quite understand what you're saying...
