Personally I like an X-pipe over an H-pipe, for sound and performance. Back when I had my 07 GT, I had a Kooks offroad X on it. Then they used my car to design their H-pipe, and let me keep the prototype one they made. Honestly, I could feel a slight difference between the two. The H felt a little more ballsy down low, but felt bottled up upstairs compared to the X.

My problem, and the problem of many in this thread, is that we want a specific sound. We want to be able to use single chamber Flowmasters. Unfortunately, having no muffler choice makes this impossible. Regardless of what this kit sounds like, I'm very skeptical that it'll sound better than single chamber Flowmasters as I've never heard anything come anywhere close to that on F-body's. I personally don't like the sound of bullets or sweet thunders, and since these are mufflers inside a 3" pipe, I have a feeling it'll sound similar, and I would be unhappy if that was the case. On top of that, having 3" mufflers in the pipes makes the car almost impossible to pass a visual state inspection as the mufflers won't be visible and will appear like straight pipes.

To me, this is yet another dumped dual kit with an X-pipe. That's already available in the TSP kit and has been available for years. In fact, the TSP kit has the advantage of being able to have multiple muffler combinations. This kit was initially very exciting to me because of the possibility for an H-pipe or an out-the-back kit, something the market doesn't offer. However, the more details I see, the less exciting it's becoming to me as it's turning more and more into a mirror image of a product already available, only with even less choices.

Not to be harsh, but this is my feeling and I'm sure the feelings of dozens, if not hundreds, of other people who have read this thread in anticipation of something new and exciting.

That sounds pretty cool.

I really like MM98's latest exhaust: 3" to the H pipe, 2.5" mac flow path mufflers, and TURN OUTS (not turn downs)... with the BFH mod to the floor pans It tucks so nicely with the H pipe that even with a 1" drop he can still drive it like the General Lee. Seriously, mega clearance, even with mufflers bigger than Flowmaster 40's!

Turn outs would direct the sound more out the back, and reduce the drone a lot.

If all that comes to fruition, particularly the out-the-back extensions with interchangable mufflers, I'm down. I personally just believe a lot of people are looking for customization, I'm not trying to be abrasive. I hope all that stuff comes to be.

I have true duals with no x or h pipe and im getting one put in this weekend. I was going with a x-pipe but after reading this thread im going with a h-pipe.
