Default 4" Y Pipe Setup Pics and Sound Clip

I had a shop in town build something similar to what Patrick G was using. I started with a set of Kooks 1 7/8ths which then goes from the 3" collector to a 4" Flowmaster Y Collector through a 4" QTP cutout then back into the Borla catback. Sounds sweet. I hope to have it on the dyno soon to see what it makes over the old Jethot and 3" ory.

Tucks up pretty good. I liek the 3 bolt flanges too, actually makes removing the system alot easier then fighting with the slip on sutff.

Only thing is that going from 2 3 inch pipes to a single 4 is a good thing, the 4 inch flows about what a single 4 inch does, but 2 3.5 inch pipes will outflow a 4 inch by a good bit.

Still better to have that collector then some hacked together setup like 1/2 the y pipes out there.

I'm about to order the same cutout. Can't beat that 4 year warranty. Hopefully it will fit under there though.

It used to but I think it has pretty much gone away now. If you look at the tunnel right above where the t/a bolts up to the rearend you will probably see where it has been hitting the tunnel. I tried to clearance it as best as I could with the BFH method and haven't really heard it sense. I'll put up with noise...it's better than another broken tailshaft.

The t/a noise is gone now I just have to listen to the noise the Wolfe torque arm makes

Yeah Icon did it for me. I brought them the Flowmaster Y collector ($55), QTP cutout ($75) and Hooker 4" to 3" reducer ($30). The rest he made from stainless steel tubing which was all included in the total price I was charged.
