if cost is no problem...

american racing are supposed to be the best. they run like $1,300. I know many people that have gotten great results from pacesetters... they run like $400.

What state are you in? If you do not need emissions, I would go without cats.

yeah... w/o cats and an Off-Road Y. In FL we don't worry about emissions.

But running open headers is LOUD... when I say LOUD... LOUD is not even a 1/10th of what I mean...

If you want to stay in your neighbors good graces... go cats.

i live in the south side of houston. no one around here really has fbody's that have some crazy exhaust. my dads is a Pypes xpipe dumped, camed, forged, high rise intake, 408ci and no one care about that. but its a 69, he can do whatever he wants. lol.

If money isn't an issue for gods sake don't go with pacesetter. Get something in stainless. QTP, Kooks, ARH are tops when it comes to stainless. You'll be replacing the pacesetters in a few years when they rust out and it's not worth the hassle.

QTP's look the nicest because they come polished, ARH are suppose to provide the best fitment and Kooks are just there really. Not really any better or any worse than the other two. In my opinion you really can't go wrong with either of the 3 brands.

+1

I ran open headers for about a month before putting my TSP duals (w/ bullets) on. Open headers makes duals seem very quiet.

Well longtubes and true duals are going to be pretty loud, simply by design. To me it's the perfect sounding exhaust but everyone's taste is different. I had the spiral flows on the TD's on my camaro and the sweet thunders on the TD's on my trans am. Both sound deep and aggressive at idle and have a great sound at WOT.
