Re: borla It "FEELS" like it has more TQ when its capped off, but then when its capped off it sounds like stock if not quieter. Running it closed should cost that much hp becasue the muffler is basily straight through.

Re: borla You have to contact Borla and order them. They'll sell you a set of plates no problem.
IMHO, getting the most torque down low with the block off plate will cause your top end power to suffer. I'm looking at buying a borla myself soon and was going to just run it wide open or possible a middle plate.

Re: borla i tried running it without a plate and the car is not as snappy i guess borla is right that the plate with the smallest hole makes the most power. I have 4.10 rear gears and i still feel like i lost low end without a plate

Re: borla My Borla works just like these posts have said. However I have never run without any plate. The largest hole plate is same diameter as pipe, so I use it for a sort of gasket. I didn't know Borla said smallest hole plate was best! It does feel that way but I wonder if there is a loss at top end. So I run the middle plate. The largest hole plate is just too loud for me, my ears are ringing when I get to work.
