I payed $40 to a guy to remove the emission tubes since ebay headers don't come in race version. He did an amazing job
Back to the car, fixing the k-member so they'll fit. I had to remove about 1/4 of an inch:
Woohoo... that was eeeasy, perfect fit:
Passenger slids right in... amazing
My friend, a Turbo mustang owner, is already making the eek face
WTF, vette O2 sensors (#13111) are super long:
Hmmm... passenger side is going to be hitting the k-member, better fix it:
Removing air pump:
Some paint to avoid rusting on the k-member:
Now let's tie those O2 sensors:

All done:
Now how the f*** do I drive home and to the exhaust shop with open headers?!
I had to install some temp turndowns:
All done V2.0
Clearance is amazing
What a beautiful sight:
My friend's turbo mustang:
WS6 in the back
As you can see the only fitment problem I found was with the k-member. I had to remove about 1/4 of an inch. The collectors don't touch any part of the car. Not even close. Installing spark plugs was great too... all from the top (with the passenger coil pack removed). MSD cables are not touching any part of the headers althought the front passenger side wire is very close. Vette O2 sensors are pretty long, but since I had to replace my O2 sensores anyways I saved some $$ with not buying any extensions. After driving my car with open headers (plus no rear O2 sensores and no AIR) for 15 minutes SES light hasn't turned on yet I guess the PCM is on a break today
I'll be installing the rest of the exhaust this week (true duals) and heading to the dyno on the 31st. I'll let you guys know my results.
I hope they don't delete this thread...

This post should be a STICKY !!!! Good job, and great pics showing all stages of the install. Subscribing to see the finished product. What do you think you'll pick up power wise ??

It was actually kind of fun I bet my neighbors hate me right now though...

I didn't know that I guess that fixes my problem Yes, the turndowns were welded on... a few spots here and there so they don't fall off...

Yes, I did read the thread. Good info and great pictures. I did the same thing. Fried my O2's within 2 days. When I said setup I just meant your temporary one. I would have thought that you would have atleast extended them another 1'. No need to use the largest sized font. I do know how to read.

how many start-ups within those 2 days
what kills 02 sensors is the extreme change in temperature, he shouldn't have any problem if he makes another trip to the exhaust shop next week...

Probably like a half dozen. I used the car to commute when it was like that. It was also a tad bit more radical with a 244/248 cam and ported/milled heads. That could have contributed to it. If he just drives it a few times they will probably be fine. Depends on the climate you are in too. Oxidation doesnt make too many exceptions. Fresh air on a hot O2 will annihilate it. Mine could have been on their way out. I was basically just letting him know that it is possible. More or less a warning.
