Default water pump line?

I just removed the a/c from my car and was wondering about the two hoses coming out of the firewall that run to the waterpump, can I take the hoses out and loop them near the pump or do I have to leave them in there?

I've searched but nothing really has helped.

i'm guessing those hoses go to the heater core. you will no longer have a heater if you don't connect them to the water pump.

however, if you don't care...connect the hoses together and tie them back somewhere.

There was a recent post where a guy tried blocking off the inlet/outlet on the pump for the heater core. If you do that it screws up the engine temperature.

So like s346k said you can disconnect the lines from the heater core and connect them. Or put a smaller loop hose connecting the pump inlet/outlet.

There is a PN for a bypass or looping hose that is the correct size. maybe someone will ping in with the PN #.

Mine are plugged with freeze plugs. Has not effected the temp at all...

All you have to do is heat up the bungs on the water pump and pull them out. Then knock in the freeze plugs. One is 5/8 other is 3/4.
