Default Intakes, intakes, Intakes, Worthless

alright I need a lil help, yes ive tried the searches and its a break even. I got a 370 ci. 6.0 iron block, prc 2.5 heads, g5x3 cam ,slp ls6 intake, pacesetter longtubes, true duals, And an alright tune. oh yeah two stages of nitrous. Now I could go a couple of different routes later but i will be super pissed to ruin a good plastic intake. please dont tell me oh with a good tune and being safe you wont have any backfires! Well SH%t happens sometimes ,so I am looking more towards the metal intakes. Prof. Prod. have the 96mm intake and with a 90mm throttle body is what i am looking at. Just wondering if i am gonna gain anything with the typhoon over my ls6. I know the bolton cars dont gain as much but from what i wonder it should gain at least 15 20 horses. Also I talked to them today and they said the 96mm and 101 mm tb's should be shipping out in 60 days. So my plans for later are bigger cubes 414-427 . possibly boost also. Anyway let me kow what you guys think.

Yeah i have read the ones about fitment and leaks etc. You are right on that. I think they have resolved most of the early problems they had though . Just wondering about actual power gains?

well the ls6 intake flows very i mean very good better than the 90mm ls2 intake so you might be able to get like 5-10 hp out of it thats my guess

The PP Products manifolds fixed their problems with fitment issues. I hear they are better now. But IDK.

I doubt you gain anything over the LS6 IMHO. Step up to a FAST or go ***** out with a custom sheet metal or single plane.

***** Out is nice but gets a lil expensive. But usually you pay for what you get. Sometimes not . Anyway what about the Super Vic. Is that what you are talking about for a single plane?

...and an asteroid could hit Mississippi tomorrow-
I would go Fast 92 with burst panels for n2o... real gains, and the safety to help you sleep better-

Thats funny. You know an asteroid would have something else better to do than land out here. There aint nothin exciting out here, ha ha. Anyway what about the vicjr. Super Vic? Will the the super vic be able to somehow fit in an f-body. I know some have said they have to do a lot of trimming to get a vic jr. in it. Last the Super Vic is it way overkill for a built 370?

There was an article recently in a Vette magazine detailing the installation of a BBK manifold. Seemed like a nice piece:

No, I'm talking about the GMPP single plane intake that can be used with EFI or a carb:http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...-P853C122.aspx

In no way would this intake be "too much". Not only that but it can be ported/port matched to improve flow for your built 370. Do a search on google about it and there are quite a few articles testing this intake.

BUT, to take "full advantage" of this intake NA, it would be best to have a custom cam ground for you by a reputable cam designer. Might even be more worth while with spray if you're planning on spraying over a 200 hit.

i seen the vic jr up close the runners are small and need a lot of porting the super vic is suppose to be nice and big but did not see one up close the GM one they say is a edlbrock but it looks a lot different and its definitely bigger the vic jr i would go with the super vic or the GM performance as a second choice oh and them burst plates on a fast don't work still splits the intake maybe with a small back fire not a bog one which is the case mostly
