Default How would you spend 2k on your car??

I got about 2k to spend on the LS1. If you'll had my mods what would you do next. I'm thinking, 25% underdrive pulley, replace the flowmaster with a magnaflow, a electric cutout or 2 and a ftra. What do ya think?

when I do a cam I also have to replace the springs right. I'll have to get a shop to install that for me and that'll cost me.

My $0.02....contact one of the sponsors...Va Speed (see you're in Virginia). They have a package for 243 (LS6 heads) + 228/230 cam that'll net 430RWHP.

Otherwise, better exhaust for sure + cam/springs/pushrods <or> a cutout + cam package + Fast 92/92.

Good luck whatever route you go.

it's not that hard to do yourself. there's good how-to articles around. ls1howto.com has some of em... with 2k you can do quite a bit if you do stuff yourself. i got ls2 heads for $400 shipped. another $400-800 and you can have them ported and polished. cam is $400. valvesprings about $150-200. you'd be right around $2000 when you're done and have a sweet setup

Cam and stall for sure. Either that or get the GOOD set of heads for starters.

i would opt for a 4k stall and g5x3ish cam. then get a nice set of drag wheels and tires. that would easily put you in the mid-11s on motor. if you have any dough left over put it toward an n2o kit.
