What kind of inspection do you have? Most just delete EGR and turn the codes off. Believe SLP sells the LS6 with EGR provision, don't know if you can buy the adapter separately.

Lingenfelter Performance sells an adapter that will let the EGR tube bolt up to the manifold. You can make your EGR functional or install it just for appearance to pass visual.

Not from what I am told in CA. A friend that does smog here tells me I had better get the EGR setup working on my car or it won't pass. So I need to get this done also since I have an LS6 manifold laying in my suburban.

I did the Lingenfelter adapter on mine, didn't want any CA smog hassles. I also cut the EGR tube flush so it doesn't hang down into the intake airflow path.

So, where did you get the adapter? It doesn't seem to show on the Lingenfelter site.

I'll have to look it up when I get home, here's some info.

Is it really that easy to swap out the intake, maybe I am just used to the pain in an *** doing intakes on old small blocks, my 455, and those stupid 390's I have.

its not really easy its kinda tricky getting the bolts off the back...so the first time might take you 1 to 2hours..but you get the hang of it pretty easily...ive had my manifold of probably 10 times so its a breeze now..

you could just cut it off the neck of your ls1 manifold and then epoxy it to your ls6 one. Or you could try to make one out of wood. I am sure you can figure something out.

A more expensive option would be to buy a FAST90 or 92mm intake. They are desined to work with or without EGR. Just knock out the EGR block off plates, and there ya go.

I doubt youd get any performance over the LS6 on stock cubes, but it would look good & have factory EGR for emmisions.
