Default Is this SLP LS6 intake missing something???

i just bought this SLP LS6 intake and the guy told me its missing some type of gaskets that go between the runners where it seals to the heads, is this true? could it be for the bolt holes?? im confused, i thought the o ring gray seal was the only thing that seals it to the heads. here are some pics to show what im talkin bout, could i also grind the ribs on the bottom to fit on my coolent line?

Those are the only gaskets i'm aware of needing. It's best to get a new set of gaskets, around 25-35 bucks. Some use the old ones, I didn't, it all depends on how much you love your car.

Like i said before the thread was moved it looks fine to me, as long as the gaskets aren't flattened out which being new why would they be? it should be fine to run. the bolts don't run into the ports so there is no need to seal them

If you bought it new, you're lucky it came with gaskets, my FAST 92 didn't. If it's new, those are all you need.

^^ yea sorry about the move yenko, i thought i would get some more responses here. the gaskets look fine to me, its a little weird he told me he used some stuff from this intake for another LS6 intake, i guess it was the coolent lines and foam pads?? cuz he said there was some special gaskets that go around the runners and he said thats about $50 from SLP so thats why he gave me a good deal on em

Make sure you get some foam on the bottem of that. Pull it off your stock intake and glue it on the ls6. If you don't there's a very good chance your hear you injecters clicking and echoing though the intake. Ask me how I know.

When I was using the egr, all you do is cut the egr tube right above the wide part from where it originally installed and sat flush on the og intake. Push it down into the compression fitting as far as it will go. Then tighten the nut. Hope that makes since where to cut it.
