well it's a bit bigger than yours 246/252 .615/.625 110lsa
Now remember that this is also a 396ci motor with 12:1 compression
Now it has not been tuned for the LSX manifold and the change in exhaust
The difference in over lap is alot
Mine has 29*of overlap
Yours 10* of overlap

No, i know you have a bigger cam, for some reason our cars seem to lope the same. Like you said i have 10* vs your 29*... the tuner said while tuning my b/c my cam is cut on a 110+4 the car acts like it has 20*+ of overlap

did you see my driving vid bottom of first page?

Well Chris i really wanted to wait for cooler weather...

On monday i had the car out, and day time temp was 92* my water temp gauge actaully rose above 210*

I was taking some pics of my car idling. prolly took 10 mins.... But then i started driving again to get the air moving back to the motor and it barely came down. So i guess with the FTRA the motor can over heat has your water temp gauge ever gone that hi before?

Car is completely sealed... When i put the lower air box into the radiator support i put weather stripping down where the air box would sit, then i reseal the lid again, this time a lot better, and what you saw in the vid. I sealed it right under the induction of the lower air box so hopefully like your dad was saying i hope it is all preasurized now....

Do you have, or can you get some pics how you sealed your lower airbox/lid? I'm about to ditch my FIPK and go the lid/SSRA route, so I'm interested how to completely "seal" off the lid and lower box.

In my first vid towards the end you can see the weather sytipping in the fron under the lower air box..

For the lid, all i did was take thin weather stripping and outlined my whole diameter of the lid. much like if you were to get a new K&N air filter, they supply you with a gasket for the lid..

And for the lower air box. i unbolted the 4 10mm bolts look to see where the top of the FTRA sits when the lower air box is sitting on it and i put the weahter stripping accordingly.......

thats true your car is pretty choppy, does sound very similar. I do think different size cam sound different but once you get about 10-20 of overlap I think the tune has more to do with the rythem of the lope. my tuner is going to do a 1 bar SD tune to get rid of the MAF should hit over 500rwhp
I'm at 491 now

Yes it was the stock gauge. Usually when the car is warmed up and BEFORE i had the FTRA the needele always sat on the "2" in 210... But just one time it rose to "0" in 210

u cant go by that gauge...get a scanner or use the aftermarket gauge for a good comparison...

when mine is like 170 it says it is over 200 on the stock gauge haha

Don't know if you have found out anymore about the overheating, but my car started doing that and it continuously got worse until it went far into the red once. I ended up cleaning out the whole system and putting in new coolant. It's been perfect ever since .
