exhaust sound with no cats? let me know if its normal alright well i took off my cats, im gettin a lot of poping and crap. is that just normal... iwas told it was from a loss of back pressure it just does that. is this true and just something that comes with takin off the cats?

Re: exhaust sound with no cats? let me know if its normal Yeah, when I took the cats off it gets raspy sometimes around 2500 rpms, and pops from time to time when I let off the gas... BUT my cam is sooo much more pronounced I can live with the occasional popping

Re: exhaust sound with no cats? let me know if its normal all I have is a bullet race muffler, stock manifolds and stock cats......I get popping just like what everyone is talking about.

Re: exhaust sound with no cats? let me know if its normal Does the popping while letting off only occur while the AIR pump is on? I removed the AIR system on mine and no more popping under decel. I also have a Predator programmer.

Re: exhaust sound with no cats? let me know if its normal I still have cats and factory exhaust but I have a cutout. I get pops all the time and I love the sound, but my dealer told me that my cats are leaking because of low back pressure. Hopefully it won't matter soon because I'm getting test pipes and losing the cats.

Does the popping while letting off only occur while the AIR pump is on? I removed the AIR system on mine and no more popping under decel. I also have a Predator programmer.
