Default What intake should i get..

I have a 2000 ss with Bolt ons, small cam with 1.85 RR, and was wondering what intake to go with...was kinda of leaning towards the 78mm fast intake...what do guys think.

You would probably be fine with an ls6 if the cam is that small...

You could get the fast if you planned on doing future mods for more power, but if that's your plan, might as well go for the 90mm instead of the 78, cause you'd just be wasting time IMO.

You can usually find used fast intake / tb setups in the sale section for around $1000.

If you wanted to go light, ls6 intakes can be had for $350.

well if you dont care about money. get the fast, and you will never have to upgrade your intake again.

how much of a difference is there between 78mm and 90 mm fast intakes....would I lose any bottom end hp and tq by going with a 90mm?

you wouldnt lose any down low i wouldnt think, but you might not gain any up top where the 90 would shine over the 78 with a small cam. i would go ls6 in your case.

fast 90, go big or go home, you'll always go up in hp not backwards so you might as well get an intake that can support those mods

never say never..

but yeah if you got the money and are planning on upgrading to a bigger cam, or more cubes in the future, go with a fast 90/nw90mmtb for sure.
