Default bottom line on flowmasters?

I know this is an old subject but are these as good as people claim or do they suck?

The standard crossflow muffler for the F-body sucks! Their normal mufflers are good.

Flowmasters suck for f-bodies. They don't flow well at all. My advice is to avoid them.

take it from someone who has one, if youre going the cat-back route, choose something else.

Yes, I support that. They blow, they dont flow.

Yes, choose something else. They sounds like SH*T and don't flow well at all. I have one only because it came on the car when I bought it.

I agree on the flow argument. But they sound awesome!!! At least mine does. I bought the car with them installed, but I would of gotten something else.

Flowmaster sells like 6 different mufflers.

Some are good.

I have some 3.5 oval inlet low profile ones on my car.

flow master = no flow

the 80 series i have on my car, is most likely worse than stock. but it was on the car when i bought it.

Sounds great, and i get compliments on it all the time.

But the flow is not there.

My new exhaust will have some kind of cutout, or high flow muffler at least.

Ryan.

Flowmaster is good for sound, but not for exhaust flow... if you have a Flowmaster, the best thing to do is pair it with a cutout.

And in their ads, they say that Flowmaster is the sound of performance. Not saying anything about actual performance.

When I first bought my car I had it at the muffler shop the next week.I went with the flowmaster 2 chamber and I was not impressed at all-it sounded like a truck.I am very happy with my setup now and its loud as sh*t.But loud is never loud enough but its a good sounding loud not annoying. My opinion is go with something else get a bullet muffler or loud mouth.

For all the haters out there... Is this just about the crossflow muffler or do you think all of Flowmasters mufflers suck?

I like the one chambers on true duals like Country Boy and I have. They flow very well. I could care less if they dont flow like a bullet because they sound way better. I have heard nothing but sound improvement though from the 80 series muffler.
