Any Kooks in here.
My shop recomended the kooks long tube's and y pipe setup. $1300 + labor. I don't hear much about this setup... any comments. $1500 for 15 horse seems a bit much to me

That's 15 over what you can get from another header from what I've heard, but yeah that seems a bit pricey. Order some and get some buds to help with the install.

I agree that these are very good quality pieces. I had very good results going from Macs to Kooks on a forced induction setup. Most important to me was the improved sound (no more rasp) but I did get some good power gain also. Listen to the guys over at ESP.

I've got the 1 3/4 headers w/ ORY. They are top quality headers and offer a number of different options. You honestly can't go wrong with them. They are on my H/C car which did 420 rwhp through a ford 9'' with just mild heads and a big cam.

770boy, are you sure those are 1 5/8" to 1 7/8" headers? 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" would make more sense.
Kooks makes some awesome headers. I'll be running their headers on my NA 8 second project. Nick at Kooks is great to work with too.
