you will not want to do that.. Have you tried the rubber hose mod for a temporary fix yet.

Try the LS1 Y-Pipe "Bump Stop" Hanger by mufflex. It worked for me.

There is no downside to no knock.

The problem comes in when there is knock, and the PCM can't sense it. Then bad things happen to the cylider walls inside the engine.

The knock sensors are there to keep bad things from happening. Remove them, and well........it's about as safe as removing a condom when you're bangin the neighborhood skank.

When the PCM detects knock, it will pull timing, causing you to lose HP. As a temp fix i would do the heater hose mod, get the muffles bump stomp, then when you have the $$ get poly motor mounts

try the y pipe bumpstop or the rubber hose mod and see how that takes care of the problem if you don't have the money for the motor mounts right now.

Default Definite fixer for you pipe rattling against the body.

Heater pipe with hose clamp through it, around the exhaust, in between the body will stop the rattling.

Quick Reply: y pipe bang?
