Oh yeah, over the past few months I've learned a lot! I can't believe I was gonna get that. SLP Maf would have been one of the biggest wastes for me. I'm glad I'm ending up doing what I'm doing now.

Do yourself a favor and buy poly motor mounts, so your y pipe won't bang for floorboard at all. I had to learn the hard way.

Also remember to think of all the expenses before you buy like exhaust and intake gaskets, new bolts at least for the headers and corvette oxygen sensors. I wasn't expecting to pay another $150 for those.

I think I went the cheapest and best route so far....

SLP LID- $75 new
LS6 INTAKE- $250 used
PS coated LT's and Y- $300 used for only 1000 miles
Magnaflow catback- $250 used for only 1000 miles
LSXTUNE mailorder- $125
Corvette 02 sensors- $150 new

Total- $1150 and I gained 9 tenths and 8mph

LOL, Holy Crap, I can't believe my thread was revived after this long! Lol. I've learned a sh*t load of knowledge since I originally asked about the 400hp package.

Best and most cost effective route is...

CAI - $200
Lid - $90
P&P TB - $65
LS6 Intake - $300 used
Pacesetter Headers/ Y-Pipe - 450
Cut Out $179
Frost Mail Order Tune - $100
Total $1,224

That list is good for about 350ish - 360ish at the wheels or about 400hp at the motor. Should be able to pull consistant high 12's with street tires or mid to lowish 12's on drag tires.

you can find an ls6 manifold for cheaper than $550 for sure. look around. I believe 350 or under is a good price.
