Ive been a horrible problem with what i believe is a slipping torque converter...but ive been dynoing my car @ our shop and getting really bad dyno #'s.
Forged Bottom end 346,
-227/230, .580 @ 114 Thunderracing nitrous cam
-LS6 intake
-Mac headers /w modified 3" Collectors, dual 3" h-pipe to 3" Bullets
-CNC ported heads, flow 285 cfm
-Th350 /w 3800 converter, 3.91 gears, 28x13.5 ET Streets, Independant rear end
-200 NX Wet fogger kit
Car makes 310 rwhp on motor and 430 rwhp on a 200 NX Single fogger, 450 rwhp on a 250 jetting. A/F is 13.0:1 @ 25 degrees total timing on motor. A/F is below rich 10.0 on bottle.
BUT is this attributed to my junk th350 converter in the car slipping or horsepower?
The car goes 128 mph @ 6800 on motor dyno. It goes 115 mph on nitrous @ 6800 rpm. (more slippage). Tire measures 29.5" (slick growth) & 3.91 gears, 1:1 tranny ratio.
A few months ago the car made 350 rwhp on motor and i still think it was alot of converter slippage. Now no matter what ls1edit program i stick in it, i cant get better than 300-310
How much horsepower am i losing through my converter?

You could be losing a TON. And from the looks of it, you are. No way to really know until you replace it.

Is there any way to calculate slippage from the #'s im getting from the dyno??
On motor its 29.5" tire (i figure a 28x13.5 etstreet to grow to), 3.91 gear.
It goes 128mph @ 6800 motor
And 115 mph @ 6800 bottle
How much slippage would you calculate in here?

Lool at your MPH compared to your RPM. Then, use a calculator (I use this one http://www.richmondgear.com/101032.html ) to see how much slippage you're getting.
