Default ring land or head gasket symptom????

yesterday I did a n2o induced burnout in front of my friends house .

Then ran it up to 120mph on a 150 shot. and the smoke kept pouring out the back.

at idle it smokes noticable but with a little rev it looks like a bug fogger. It makes no noise and is not building pressure in the cooling system

I hope it is just a head gasket.

the smoke don't smell like oil and i only have water in it(no antifreeze at all)

so i don't know unless mobil 1 dosn't have the smell of regular oil

just wondering what you guys think it is . and should i drive it home the 3 mile's or have it towed?

CLT test, but probably a gasket issue maybe. Tear it apart and find out.

I knew i was pushing it with stock head bolts.

i ran a 200 shot for over a year with stock headgaskets the graphite ones not mls and stock bolts....

you might wanna check and see if its a valve seal instead of a ringland...do a compression test...

Do a compression test and a leakdown test. If you have oil in the combstion chamber then you might have a piston issue. What color is the smoke?

ok i pulled the pass side head. it felt like a few of the front bolts came right loose then the rest took a big breaker bar to break loose(head bolts)

It is a cometic gasket and i can't really see it burned out but it has oil between the layers. and the intake is full of oil.

#2 & 8 are wet as hell with oil .the center 2 look to be dry.

last time i had it running it had vacuem sucking the oil cap on when i pulled it. and when i took it off it reved up a few hundred rpms wtf

no sign at all of detonation or valve to piston contact. I will do a comp test on the drivers side before i pull it but when i ran it last night with the coils off the pass side it did not smoke so i figured it was the pass side

thanks for the help.

Also it has 59cc afr's with cometic .040's that i copper sprayed and reused this spring.

It runs with out spray what it ran stock with a 150 shot 12.30 and with 150 it pulls the heavy pig gto to a 11.29@125 with a 1.89 60.

no idea how much power it makes but should i order arp bolts or studs this time or just gm bolt's?

found it. #1 cly has no end left on the plug and no compression at all

at least it is not 5 or 7 and i have 7 good rods and pistons on the shelf that 1 will find a new home

and they already have arp2000 bolt's in them. i guess one good thing to come from breaking **** all the time is spare parts

Are you going to do a leak down before you pull the head on Bank 1? You'd get a better idea of what's going on that way before you pull the heads. You got to love cam in block when it comes to doing the heads. You'll have the whole job done before you could get the heads off of an overhead cam V6.

no i pulled all the plugs on the drivers side and had a friend turn it over. there is nothing on the #1 cly. maybe i will get lucky with the head gasket but it is my fault.

I failed to turn off the tc while trying to get a stang to race me.while spraying and i am sure it leaned out.

either way the engine will be out and on the stand by this time tuesday.

but i am sure it has a big *** hole in the piston by looking at what was left of the spark plug

and she will be at the track this weekend hunting for that 10.99

thanks for the help

would have saved me pullen the pass side if i would have checked it the right way
