Dam I broke it!! Help please Well I just got down taking the intake off my TA. Bad Knock sensor. Anyway I think I broke the tall sensor in the back. I forgot the name of it. Can anybody tell me the name. I think its a temp sensor but not sure. I'm not 100% sure its broke though. Is it suppose to swival at all? Its still connected it didn't come off completely. I found another thing that sucks. I'm not sure exactly what its called but there is a tube in back that connects to two other tubes. Well it is burned in half at the connection. The one side comes out of the left (as you are sitting in the car) head and connects to two other tubes. One goes to a tube on the right head and the other one goes up to the throttle body. Does anybody know where I can get that rubber connector? I have never seen anything like this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
The sensor will cost you a little $ but won't kill you I think there like $40-$60 I've broken two it happens. The small plastic tube you can get at a GM dealer for pretty cheap i dont remember how much. You'll be fine

Thats a really good idea leaving the socket on. Can you do this before you take the intake off as well? I'm sure it won't be the last time I have to take the thing off. The size socket is 1 1/16 deep. I don't have this size in a deep does anybody know if I have to buy the Oil pressure socket or can I just use a regular deep 1 1/16 socket?

You can get the oil pressure socket from orileys its around 13 bucks its black and says gm oil pressure sending unit socket. And yes you can put it on there after you unplug the plug in the top of it and just drop it right in there. But remember to tighten the sending unit befor you replace the intake and just leave the scoket on it. Once u have the intake seated and in place just reach behind there and pick straight up on the scoket you will have more then enough room to slide it all the way up.

Verdad Gallardo Here is another tip I pick up. The 4 bolts are a pain in the *** because they always get hung up. To avoid his use some wire protector cut about a tip of the finger lenth and place it around the four back bolts on top by the head. Make sure to have a slit in the side of them so u can remove them when u tighten the bolts down. That will hold the bolts high enough so they wont get caught on the heads when u go to install the intake.

I actually had an idea for those 4 bolts in the back. I saw somebody on here with a picture that they used rubber bands that were hooked to each other on each side. It puts tension on them an won't allow them to go down. I think thats what I'm going to do.
