I used search but did find any post, although I am sure there may be one out there.

Are these LS6 style heads available yet?

I'm picking mine up Thursday and will be installing them this coming weekend. I think my set will be the first ones. I stopped by Friday and took a peek at them.. VERY nice, can't wait to see what they will do with a big cam!

And here I was thinking you were going to put a big cam in with the 5.3's. Guess I'll have to find another guiney pig. Guess I'll have to do it myself. Oh well.

I was going to do the big cam with the 5.3's first and then swap heads to see how much of a difference there was.. but my cam is "running late" and won't be here untill about the time the heads are done. If it would have gotten here last week I was going to do the cam swap Friday night and dyno Saturday.. but nothing ever works out like it is supposed to

Valve springs are the ones that Terry put on the heads - cleared w/ YT's.

If I remember correctly Terry uses 977/8 springs with titanium retainers.

Id like to get a set of these within the next month. Id like to get a bare set.

Would you guys reccomend doing this? and going with comp 918 springs or maybe the manley springs.

and what would be a good cam to compliment this cam.

thanks

I would like to know as well, would buying a bare set be a better deal to use the stock spring seats, or would the advantage be with the 977 which I think he uses? Also has anybody purchased a set yet, just wanting to know who is taking advantage of the NO CORE charge on LS6 heads.

I've purchased a set. I called him yesterday and the heads will be finished Thursday. So I'll be installing them Thursday night. One of the real advantages to these heads is since the combustion chamber has been welded up, he can CNC it out to what ever you want and still keep the stock deck height so you won't have to worry about P/V interference. For example.. on my heads I have a 59cc combustion chamber and the heads have not been milled at all, they are the stock deck height.

Gomer, are you saying that he can cut the chambers to the size of say the 5.3 chamber? Smaller chamber, no P/V issues, and the LS-6 runner! Sounds like a good plan. Now if I can get Terry to answer my e-mails, I might have a set on the way.

My chambers are 59cc, which is a good bit smaller than the 5.3's, and I still have stock deck height. Terry is real good about answering his phone.. you might just want to call him 1-888-462-8276
