Default Which Head gaskets For new Cam PTV

Just finished installing a new HPE Megadeath cam in my LS1. I also Have a set of ported 243s going on. I was just wondering which gasket thickness i can get away with. I want to get as close to 11:1 as i can without PTV issues. The heads cc'd at 63.5. Thats with .015 deccking and chambers cleaned up. Can i get away with a .041 or should i stick with the .052 or the .060. Any advice on how to check PTV will help.

Thanks

yeah you will have to flycut unless you use a real thick gasket.Use modeling clay also, not playdoe or any other clay.Look for a writeup on how to check ptv clearance using feeler gauges between the valve and rocker. Its more accurate.

i checked today with clay. I bolted the head down with no gasket and the intake clearnce came out to .020 and the exhaust was .120. So how much PTV clearnce is needed?

You need a .080" clearance on the intake valve, and .100" on the exhaust valvewith gaskets.
