Question Stock Pushrods

Are the pushrods from a '00 LS1 identical to those from a '99 LS1? (both are Camaros)

I believe so...the stock length rod should be 7.4. The only real engine differences between 98-99 and the 00-02's are the LS6 intakes and I believe the LS1's from 00-02 came with 4 bolt mains instead of 2 bolt mains. But don't hold me on the main bolts. That's just what I heard. But yea...the pushrods should be the same.

Thanks for the help. I thought that they changed the cam in 2000, so I want to make sure they did not change the pushrod dimensions.

If anyone can give a definitive answer, please do.

They did change the Cam, but nothing that drastic where the Pushrods would change.

All LSX's are 6-Bolt Mains.

They made the cam a little weaker in the 00-02s (maybe 01-02?) instead of having an egr the cam does the work. But with the ls6 intake it evens it up with the other ls1s... internally the motors are pretty much the same, the 97-98 motors had some issues though (weaker rod bolts iirc)

if you are using the stock pushrods, you might as well go ahead and buy some comp's while you have it apart. Stocks are junk
