Default How far past 0 lash to preload lifters with adj. rockers??

Zero lash then 1/2,3/4,1 full turn on the adjuster??? Or is there a set spec.

One other question while I have you in here.Anyone know if the Comp adj. rockers fit without spacers? It looks really close. I've heard the other shaft mounted rockers(excluding the yella terra's) needed the spacers.

Thanks.

1/2 turn is all you need. That's ~.025 inch
If the valvetrain is a bit noisy....go 3/4 turns.

its real easy....all of them get 22 ft/lbs of torque....regardless of engine position.....turn the engine over a couple of times...and re-torque to 22 ft/lbs to double check.....
thats all

simple and easy with the ls1

just do like me...I'm pulling off the valve covers just to paint them...and a double check of the 22 ft/lbs is gonna happen then too....I figure that anytime I have to get in to tem it is worth double checking them to make sure all is good...It only takes an extra 3 minutes...

The Comp Cams adjustable are guaranteed to fit under the stock valve cover.

unless it's a '98, then you might need to clearance the edges of the rockers.
you also might need to remove the metal baffle on the new valvecovers.

True, that does work if the valvetrain geometry is within spec. If you have milled heads, aftermarket cam, etc this changes everything and it's just good practice to test the lash. Saves time and frustration from having to do it again.
