Just to clarify, you dont measure at TDC. (Every cam will clear at TDC.) It is the 12-15 degrees before and after TDC where the PTV contact happens. Buy the proper tools and measure PTV. It is only a few hours of less of work and well worth it. recently did mine at -15, -12, -10, -8, -6, -4, -2, +2, +4, +6, +8, +10, +12 and +15. Doing this I got a really good idea of my cam profile and where the tight spots are. (I had just enough clearance to be safe with my cam duration and milled heads.)
