They are another option.....the question is how much do they cost. If they are not too much (less than T&Ds and Jessles), the 1.7s might be a good direct replacement for the factory rockers.

I have them 500 bucks to your door... they kick ***... very high quality... car revs mad now. You dont have to buy valve cover spacers... very good stuff. Same quality or better than jesels... i had both. The jesels i had were not lose on the mount... these yella's are loose like a 2$ hooker on nickle night! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I contacted one of their dealers recently and they couldn't tell me if these will fit under the stock '97-'98 valve covers.

If I knew that they did then I would order a set right now.

I have these for my own engine and checked them for fitment a while back and posted on the BB. I am sure they fit and clear the centrebolt covers, also Yella Terra told me they would fit when I ordered them. They are really nice items.

I have the 1.7 shaft mounted Tella Terra roller rockers and friends of mine (with lower lift cams) have the 1.8's.
They sit right on the tip of the valve and clear the stock valve covers and double valve springs.
They don't have adjustable lash for anyone contemplating solid roller cams.

If you are thinking about which ratio, your biggest problem is too much lift will increase the pressure your springs will place on your hydraulic roller lifters. Once you start going over .600 you start getting into some issues with valve spring life, collapsing lifters (dependant on spring pressure) and coil bind.

Here is my engine dyno testing comparison of:

Stock 1.7 rockers
Yella Terra 1.8 rockers
SLP 1.85 rockers
Jesel 1.9 rockers

The results are just what you would expect. The two aluminum rockers trail off at the high rpm because of flex.

These look great!

So you are saying that they for sure clear the stock valve covers?

Does anyone with a set of '98 or '97 heads have these on a car with the stock valve covers?

Here is the SLP graph. I would think that this isn't an apples & oranges comparison because of the differences in the ratio's.. correct?
