Re: JOE SCHUBECK LIFTERS
I don't plan on going solid for a while, but I need the adjustment as I have had problems from the get go on these lifters but again I have had the non adj jesel's and have been shimming several times now and just getting tired of it..My spring pressures are not that extreme as I'm running a fairly small cam. I just want these lifters to work properly w/o having to go back in the motor to replace them with OEM comp R's or crains!!!! Do you think the Jesel adjustables will be o.k.???

Re: JOE SCHUBECK LIFTERS
IIRC, the spring pressure limit on the Sportsman rockers was such that with virtually any spring soft enough to use w/ a hydraulic lifter (Rev 1116's, Comp 918's, 987's, etc...) you'd be okay. Don't quote me on that, though... you'll want to double check it.
The adjustabilty really is a necessity with these rockers, though... as the heads get more miles on them, the valves will pound in the seats a little bit... even just a couple of thou is a big deal if it puts you into preload, though...

Re: JOE SCHUBECK LIFTERS
The car is fixed!!!! We installed them today and we set them about .003 to .004 cold and the car spun up to 7100-7200 rpm test driving it today..It blew off the drag radials...They look killer sitting on top of the heads..I like the tool steel shafts...Going to dyno it tomorrow....It just took a little time and some $$$$ but I think we got it now!!!!
