Default What do you guys think about this head/cam package

I found this really good deal on a head/cam package on ebay. The ad says PRC 1.5 5.3 heads but in the ad description it says ported by Lingenfelter performance. Anyone have any info on these heads? This cam is about the size I would like to run so thats a +. If they do not get bidded up too high this is going to be a sweet deal.

i doubt like hell that stage 1.5 heads and a 224/228 are good for 80 horse. i could be all wet but i doubt like hell. It does seem like a good package and they are definatly popular and well proven parts/combo

Well it must not be much of a port job cause he has the intake runners listed at 202cc's.

There are just some inconsistencies in there. Is it PRC or Lingenfelter? He also says they are used castings but in another place says new.

Just makes me wonder WTF......

To get 80hp out of it you would have to get the compression up. Thats quite a bit of power for a 224/228 and stage 1.5s.

Something isn't right about the ad. PRC heads are not cnc cut by lingenfelter. The springs appear to be the PRC duals from the pic, not beehives. I would contact the seller on ebay and ask them a few more questions.

just a FYI the cam in the pic looks to be used. But I don't see anything in the item description telling you this. Buyer beware.

If there is even a question about the parts I wouldn't do any business on ebay.
As far as 224/228 and 5.3 combo with LT's mine was worth about 120rwhp, so its plausible.

i honestly would not trust eBay when buying engine parts. also look like this guy is telling you 2 different things. my advice avoid it. just save you money or buy from somebody on this forum. i am sure somebody has some heads and cam packages on sale here.

I think I found where the guy bought his setup from check this out. It looks like other people have bought this setup and he has all positive feedback. Is this TSP selling out old stock or something? The location is Lubbock, TX if anyone has heard of this shop. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-P...1%7C240%3A1318

I seen the same listing before and figured it was TSP also.
