i was wondering which set would be a better buy for a strip and some street car. ive been leaning towards the patriot performance but i dont know yet.
ps when i buy the heads im also going to do a ms4 cam.

If you are a stock bore you don't need stage III heads. They are for 4" bore.

If you are going MS4 about your only choice is the LS6 stage 1 with stock valves unless you wanna flycut......

Pick the BEST heads you can afford and THEN get a cam to compliment them.

tring to do them at the same time. but i love the way that a ms4 sounds, so i was wanting to find a good set of heads to go with it. now would flycutting the pistons be worth it or should i just get a diffrent cam for a stage 3 head.

I agree, on a stock cube motor, the Stg.3 head will be a bit much. What are you looking for out of the car? Is it your daily driver? Give me some more info. on you what your goals are and we can get you a heads/cam combo that will sound the way you want it to while still being fun to drive and make the power you want.

^^^^^^ COMBO is the key..........They should be chosen to COMPLEMENT each other.

The reason I said buy heads first earlier is it easier to match a cam to heads than heads to cam.......

If you buy a cam first at least have a plan of future mods so when it does all come together they are well matched This includes considering gears/stall, suspension mods, weight reduction, power adder etc.... Consider your whole package of where you want to go LONG RUN even when you are buying individual parts. You will be happier with the results and save $$$ doing it this way.

Should not base your cam selection on which one sounds better. Let the guys at TSP pr Pat, get a cam selected for your goals.

I believe these heads will fit without flycutting in 62cc variety: http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=993&catid=40 if you can wait til January.

That's no joke, the compliment I hear most about my ms4 cammed car is how much people like the way it sounds. "That thing sounds like a monster" is probably the most frequent comment.

I have the PRC LS6 2.5, but they are on a 383, pretty decent heads, car makes 445/420 with an off the shelf comp cam (238/240 stroker cam) and I don't feel the heads are holding me up one bit. Other things are but not the heads.
