It is just as much recommended to run them with AFR heads as TFS heads.
P.S. We've seen a bit more power from the TFS heads (most likely due to the 13* valve angle)

I have never heard Tony Mamo recommend using roller rockers.
And there are enough AFR's out there running on stock rockers that if there was a problem doing it everyone would know by now.
Edit, here is an old post that has alot of good info.

i heard that you dont need to get rockers you just need to shim the stock rockers and get a longer pushrod. also i heard dont know if it is true but alot of aftermarket rockers like to float at high rpm.

Just ordered trickflows from Vengence with the upgraded trickflow springs! They were the 220cc as cast for 1700.00 you can't beat that!
The Trickflows have a 13* valve angle so in order to keep proper geometry you need a set of roller rockers period, and why wouldnt you when you have 1700-2300 dollar heads. I wouldn't risk it.
Go with the trickflows you wont regret it!

ET performance, now Induction Performance, as Cary (guy that did all the design work and porting@ ET broke off and took the castings with him, to make the story short.
11 degree heads, and you don't need any special rockers or any of that to get the geometry right. I've been running a set for 3 years with stock rockers, and not a single problem.
