Default Anyone use "Legend" brand connecting rods?

Just curious if anyone has some experience with them, or have friends/family that have used them. I have heard of them a bit from mustang friends... but never in the LS1 world.

They are extremely affordable... and i look like they would be a good choice in a budget build. They basicly look like an eagle H beam.

Please only post up if you have something to contribute. Not looking for any "You get what you pay for" comments or "I used brand X in my build so you should too". Im well aware of all the other brands available.. their cost... etc.

I'd be a little hesistant to buy them especially if they are all over ebay & no one here is using them. Most the time the ebay sellers get the stuff thats outta spec. So your price from them might be cheap but then the machine shop had to do a lot of work to get the stuff all balanced out properly & then you end up spending more than if you had just bought a well known rod from a good solid company with good customer support.

ARP 8740 7/16 Cap Screws with Precision Alignment Dowels unless otherwise noted.

"cause a Legned never dies" LMAO!

New companies have to get a beginning somewhere. So who's to say unless they used them. I sent them an email to find more information out about them.

Yeah

I found a 3 year old post on another board where a guy talked about them for a big block... and that they looked a little rough when he got them (lots of casting flash, etc)

Im really sceptical of them because of their price (~$300 for a set of them)... but figured if people on here had used them with good luck i would go for it.

Looks like i will probably just hold off for now and wait till i want to spend the money on some eagle or compstars.

Hah... yeah their saying "A legend never dies" is corny as hell

I agree though... companies have to start somewhere... maybe they are a good product just have horrible marketing.

If you find out anything let me know please

These can be had for $285 i think... whereas Eagle are $200 more the cheapest i have found.

The scats would also be a consideration... they are $429 through TSP

Not sure if this is allowed... but if you type in this exact description in ebay the $289 set comes up "Chevy sb sbc H Beam Rods 6.100" LS1 Camaro Vette 909"

They sell billet rods for $600. That's a really good price for something like that. They look decent, but I've never heard of them. Be the tester and let us know how they are.

I have a buddy that just purchased some of these--I'll be sure to let everyone know how he likes them. Like everyone else, I'm more than reluctant to buy components (especially reciprocating assembly) that I don't know the full background on, but I can't say ya or na as of now.

Can you post some pictures of them?

I found a thread from like 3 years ago where a guy with a big block bought them and said they had more casting flash and such that other rods he had seen.

Another guy posted in his thread a while back and said he had them in his LS1 and spun a rod bearing after 2 months... but that means little to me... i dont see that being the rods fault if they were sized properly.
