I think comp is on a "new-new-revision3" version or something.

Running Revised Comp Cam 918's on my Vrx4 cam which is 228/230 in the .58x" range with out issues.

Unfortunately comp got a bad rep because the last set did have failures but here on Tech you get to hear all about it. Never mind the fact that I would say some if not at least half were do to install error or improper matching of spring requirement to intended use of the cam.

I also have used the original 918's circa 2005 on a 383 LTX motor w/o issue. If I had the Batch # still id post it but like I said, you dont know until you try.

Pac-1218's are a great spring too, they have a great track hist and at that point you need to make a decision.

I run the PAC 1518's on my .609 lift, they are more expensive than the 1218's but are good to .650 lift. I think they are the same spring but the 1518's are nitrated?

Either way, I've heard nothing but good about PAC springs

Yep, PAC1218 and 1518 are great springs.

I beleive PAC made the comp springs in the past. Then comp dumped them for a cheaper supplier (mexico maybe) and that's when they started have problems with the 918s. PAC has NEVER had any problems as far as I'm aware.

Should get a little better performance over the duals fwir.

Thank you

PAC used to make the spring for Comp but Comp switched and then had breakage issues. They have remedied it from what I've heard but given the choice I'd take the PAC first. PAC did not have an issue. THe 1518 from PAC is a superlative nitrided spring as well, good to .650 lift. I have them both in stock. Both are direct drop in replacements.

Yes I do have them for a good price as well

There have been more than one bad batch of the Comp 918 springs over the last 5 years..on the other hand the PAC springs have been excellent over the same time period with no bad batches...go with the PAC springs ...
