Default TR230 vs TSP Torquer v.2

Im looking to get one of these cams. I HAD a TSP 233/399 on 113 lsa, but like an idiot, i sold it After i sold it I figued i should go with something a little smaller since this is my DD, while also saving the money on dual valve springs.

My question is which one of these cams should I see the best all around power with and which one should have the best driveability. The car now is full bolts on, built trans w/TCI 3500 converter.

Id love to get the MTI X1 but havent been able to find it anywhere.

Let me know what cams any of you guys have on the market!!

im running the X1.. made 395rwhp stock heads with a 3200 stall.

but between those 2 cams id go with the TR230. its a proven cam with 0 regrets. look up gillbot.. running the
TR230 and 4k stall and put down 399rwhp stock heads!!

Both cams are very good for drivability, I dont think you cant go wrong with any of the 2. Just wait on a deal on one and get it.

i have the torquer 2 and it made a lot of torque. my torque curve was almost flat. i made 350tq at 3000rpms. no bucking or surgin at low rpms, with great mid to high rpm pull. great cam imo

Nice numbers man!

If you get a good tune you have nothing to worry about with that cam.

I voted for the Torquer due to its excellent drivability, but I dont think drivability would have been an issue with the 233/239 113lsa cam that you had.

Sportin the TR230 here and lovin it! Makes great power, drives great in any situation, sounds mean as hell at idle, and has some amazing topend IMO.

Id get PredatorsZ's - 230/230 .612/.592 111+4 LSA "el Toro".
Its similar to MTI X1 powerband but less peaky. It also has more potential and makes better numbers.

I got the specs for you IF you want to get it ground. Send me a PM.

After reading and reading on here I just ordered a TR230 from Thunder. I have heard nothing but good things from it and the reverse split is where it's at if you plan on staying with stock heads. Also since the TR230 has less lift it is easier on your valvetrain than the X1 would be. A plus since were talking about a DD here.

I was almost sold on the Torquer2 for my d/d but after reading this thread and this sticky,-----> https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...side-coin.html I am sold on reverse split cams (especially the TR230) for a d/d.
