Default Got a pile that needs to come completete

Well i need alittle help here i got a 6.0 lq4 short block complete w/15k, tea stg 1.5 5.3 heads,ms4 cam ,sharpe rockers ,double roller adj timing chain, and comp hydro lifters.

1.The question that i have is do i have to flycut the pistons and if so would i just be better of upgrading to a better piston with valve reliefs?

2.Will the stock lq4 heads gaskets work on this set up

If those heads have larger than stock valves and/or any milling done to them, you will need valve reliefs. Flycutting isn't impossibly difficult with the engine out of your vehicle....but there's also added peace of mind and extra strength that comes from having an aftermarket forged piston in there. Do you have a machine shop near-by that you trust with balancing and machining your short-block?
