Cutting the crate motors is prob. a good idea it ties alot of money up in inventory. They could be planning on selling them on a made to order basis, but it's easier to sell a $700 set of heads than a $5000 motor.

You also need to remember that the square port on these heads required moving the intake valve away from the exhaust. That's the reason for the offset intake rocker. This will put the intake valve closer to the cylinder wall, so even with the 2.0 valve it most likely will not fit the 5.3 bore.

I'm not asking about the Mast heads, these are GM heads.

Aaron those heads on the mast website look like what you were talking about, but they make no mention of being GM. They are square port.

Nope, the Mast have a 12 degree valve angle, the GM have a 15 degree valve angle. Different heads, I'm specifically asking about the GM heads in the first post.

I would like to see a 346 with slightly modded small bore L92s(kinda big intake runner imo), FAST 102, and the RIGHT cam profile and see what it does?

I agree the runners are very large for a 346, but I'm just looking for information at this point so I can start building the engine 'virtually' and see how it performs.

When I saw these heads, I was thinking exactly as you state above.

I would lighten the rotating assembly up if doing a new fresh combo imo.

i would just build a 4.00 bore motor instead of messing with these huge
runner small valve, heads. and go with regular l92's. imo

Looking for a set of heads for a 383 right now. I was thinking of going with a set of TFS 215 but if these Mastmotorsports are coming out I think I rather have these instead.

Anything new? I haven't seen anything in the mags yet. Usually they are pretty good about cheerleading for the latest thing out.

I have wondered, since the L92s first arrived, if you could cut a new valve seat and a 2.0 and 1.55 valve job into them. If they would work on a 3.90 inch bore even with the offset intake rocker. On a 346 this would probably be way overkill, but on a budget 383...

Bump for any new info.

Josh
