There is a lot more to velocity numbers than port size. The fact that is has a 2.00 intake valve means the throat should decrease a considerable amount in size after the short turn radius. That alone will make a huge difference.

Problem is, most "built" motors, that are bigger in size, can already run the L92 head. What is the point of these again????

I found another wrinkle in what some of the experts been telling us with a set of 4.00 inch bore L92s for small bore motors. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...chevy-ls.shtml
Look about halfway down as the super vic carb intake saying about knotching into the block to fit l92 heads. Not optimal fitment I am sure with valve shrouding, and i bet yu would wanna stroke your lil 5.7 to 383 to take advantage of your new found breathing either way. I see this maybe being a cheaper by far and saying you did it thing.

I build custom Pontiac engines for a living and some of our engines can use 2.11 intake valves with 5.3 liter size bores with notching and a lot of them came from the factory with notched cylinders so it does work and doesn't seam to hurt our motors too bad fwiw
I think the mast heads are great as an option for HOT 346's but more towards the 366-395 strokers imho but 2500$ without springs eek!
I was hoping they would make a smaller port head aimed at street/strip head for cars and trucks that would flow 330-340ish as cast and could sell complete for 1800-2000$ I think that would be a winner because in order for me to buy a set they need to beat all cathedral heads in the same price range, idk, we can hope LOL

I don't know for sure yet. I just saw them advertised on PACE's website for $840 each, and it says they ARE available. I sent PACE a message asking if this was correct.

Yes, they are availiable.. GM's Lansing PDC has them in stock with a list price of $875ea.. This includes valves but no springs.. Also, they are listed in the 2010 GM catalog on page 202.. They aren't pictured, but it does have the part# & info on them. Hope this helps.

Glad see they are now available, I wonder how they would work on a 5.3 bore motor or if I should just bore itb out to the 5.7 bore. Someone needs to jump on this quick and maybe find out what they are good for.

it'd be nice if sdpc would do a cnc l92 for the small bore, with a similar price to their normal cnc'd l92. the as-cast dont seem to really flow that well

Here is what i got off crateenginedepot...

LSX/L92 #19201807
• L92/LS3 port configuration
• Produces from 356-T6 Aluminum with 5/8” thick deck
• 6 Bolts per cylinder, Aluminum construction
• Runners are in “as cast” condition
• 250cc intake port and 80cc exhaust port
• 70cc Chamber size
• Intake flow = 280 CFM@.600 / Exh flow= 180 CFM@.700
• Assembled with 2.00” Intake and 1.555” Exhaust Valves
• Beehive springs
• 15 Degree valve angle
• 3.890” minimum bore size block
• Uses LS3 / L92 rocker arms
• Requires the LS3 / L92 intake manifold

Looks like they are going for $799 a head. Has anyone tried these yet? Are these overkill for an stock cubed LS1/LS6?

Do you mean the price is around 880$ per one head or per two heads? and is this version is the LSX-L92 small bore or the normal L92 small bore?

these are available now. Pace has them for 1749 a pair. You can get a ls3 intake off ebay for 250 so for 2k you got a killer heads/intake combo. With the thinker deck you have some room to mill.
