Default Longblock finally assembled - with new intake!

Well, I finally got around to assembling the longblock for Project Extreme-G '69SS. Snapped a few photos of the new "intake" while I was at it.

MTI 348ci LS6
Wiseco forged pistons
Lunati billet rods
stock LS6 crank
MTI stage 2R ported/polished LS6 heads
230/230 .591/.591 114 Comp Cam
Magna Charger custom "Hot Rod" supercharger kit
Agostino aluminum sheetmetal valvecovers (chrome plated)
ARP head studs

Getting little by little done...

Tony

Hey "Stew",
The valve covers on my website have an adapter that work with the 9-bolt covers...

Looking good T Dubya! Especially those Moparistic fuel injectors. Do youself a favor and paint those things black!

Any reason you didn't elect to paint the block and WP?

I love everything else though! Will look bad *** for sure!

Jason: I have to swap out the front subframe and do the suspension in the car first, as well as weld/sand/smooth the firewall. After the rolling chassis is completed, the engine will go in. Maybe November?

jfm: I'm just looking for a conservative 500-550 rwhp on 93 octane. Not going all-out on the performance potential for now, this car has to be reliable enough to complete the Hot Rod Power Tour next year.

Hugh: I had Madman restore the front subrame, but other than that I'm doing the rest in my garage. Its like a big model kit

Levi: ARE valvecovers, I had them chrome plated

Todd: I elected not to paint the block and other stuff because the engine is hardly recognizable as an LS1 anymore. If I painted the block, water pump, etc.. people might just think its another iron block SBC or something. All-Aluminum looks normal in our 4th gens, but exotic in a classic car

Tony what made you decide to go with a 230/230 cam? I thought on supercharged cars you wanted to go with a split duration cam like a 224/230 cam with a high lsa.

My exhaust setup will be very free-flowing (dual 3" with X-pipe), no need for additional exhaust duration to assist with it. Went with the 230 intake duration to make this sucker LOPE with the blower
