Stock pushrod length is 7.400" and 5/16" diameter. If heads havent been milled to increase compression or decked excessively, stock length should be fine

You should measure with a solid in place of the same dimension.

All depends on what your using for lifters. You mght need to make a solid out of the hydraulic your using. They need to be the same height to get a proper measurement.

I am using Morel lifters - just got them finally! Don't have the stock LS6 lifters out yet, but I have heard they are a different length?

The solid is the same length on the Morel. I am having a kit put together with a Comp cams pushrod length checker. It will have the solid lifter in it so all you do is use it and the checker, then measure the checker and voila (no guessing).
