Default Camshaft peak power?

Is there a way to takes cam specs and engine cubes to figure out at what RPM it should make peak power?

If anybody wants to take a stab at it, I will tell you what I have. It is a 2005 CTSV, Volant cold air, ported 90mm TB, ported 92mm fast intake, TFS 215 cnc heads, 236/240 605/610 112+2 camshaft, hardened push rods, .650 lift TEA springs, Yella Terra 1.7 roller rockers, Kooks 1 3/4 long tubes, offroad xpipe and magnaflow catback. Reason I was asking is because I had a timing chain break. I had read the timing chain failure threads and read where the horsepower may peak 200 to 400 rpms early with a harmonics issue. I was running an ASP 25% underdrive pulley like some of the other timing chain failing posts had. Mine peaked at 5950 to 6000 rpms and dropped rapidly. I figured that it would pull a little higher into the rpms and not drop as rapidly as it did with my setup.

every engine is going to react different, both due to small differences in mods and just inherent differences in the tolerances.

even things like accessories and drivetrain will affect it.

but that cam you listed...should make peak hp in the 6500-6800rpm range

or did you mean torque

What intake manifold and your cams IVC? That should give you a good idea.

Ported 92mm fast and ported 90mm throttlebody. Don't knw the IVC. Just that it is a 236/240 605/610 112+2 camshaft.

That's what I was thinking. I am getting excited about this now. I was making 491.6 sae rwhp at 5950 to 6000 rpms before the timing chain broke. I am adding electric cutouts and if this thing will pull to 6300 to 6400 like it should, I may get that 500 rwhp after all.

Make sure you get an adjustable timing set and actually degree the cam. With out degreeing the cam to the desired ICL you have no clue where it really is.
