dont waste the time or money on this pile. save up a lil more and buy a well built motor from a reputable sponsor off the forum.

and i doubt that motor made more than 430 at the wheels, and it probaly had the **** sprayed out of it. run as fast as you can

I have a 2002 LS1 motor with all built upper, (trick flow heads, Futral hardend push rods, Harland Sharp roller rockers, Futral cam, etc) stock flat top pistons and rods that can make over 1000rwhp. I have over $90,000.00 invested in this project and it could be yours for say $1500.00. That beats your friends price of $2000.00 by $500.00 and you know you and I are buds!! Right? It takes everything you can do just to make 500rwhp on pump gas with a 346. I know, I make 504rwhp with TFS heads at almost 12 to 1 compression and every mod to help it that money can buy. I have found out the old fashion way that unless you turn it to 8 grand and use race gas, it ain't gonna happen. My power peaks in the upper 6K range and that's all she's got. Great heads, strong compression, stout cam, all the exhaust tricks, ported fast, ported TB, electric WP, Kooks with a good xpipe and cutouts. If he is making 575rwhp, I have really missed something. I want to know what else I need to do to get that 75rwhp that I lost somewhere.

And how are you running 6.90s in the 8th with no bar, cage, or suspension. Don't most tracks require you to have a cage if you run under 10.50's or 11.50's. I know the track where I live requires it. And in a vert. Man. People these days

man this thread was a real good read! I enjoyed it. Sounds like the engine seller is full of crap -first its .060 over pop ups then its flat tops - I wouldnt buy it unless you saw what it ran at the track your self and KNOW its in good condition. maybe he wants more and maybe its a good sound motor - so for 2k-maybe and OK deal. but the lying ***** said he put 23k in it? if he did he's plain stupid wasting daddys money. and daddy is stupid *** for giving him that kind of money.

This thread is obviously BS, or something. Maybe the guy just doesn't know much about cars, and his friend is blowing smoke up his a$$. Doesn't anyone remember collecting baseball cards as a child, and knowing more about the value of certain cards then the next guy ?? On the 60 over thing, would an ls1 that has been resleeved be able to get bored 60 over ?? There is just too much we don't know about the build, and because of that its easy to say F off.
