G5X2 A4 guys
Anyone out there like this? I'm soon to be putting this cam in my A4. I have all bolt ons right now an a 3600 stall but that will be upgraded to a PT4000 or bigger down the road. Any A4 guys running the G5X2 that can tell me times, dyno numbers, the street experience with this cam.

thanks. be sure to let me know. I'll be ordering the cam this weekend but will have to wait for the rest of the parts. Hope to have it all installed and tuned within the next month

Re: G5X2 A4 guys
A bigger stall will definitely help. A 4000 would be minimum (IMHO) with the cam. The car I worked on had a 3500, and it was a bit sluggish on the lower end.
Overall driveability was fine once tuned. A little bobbling at stops / AC on, we got rid of most of it with PCM tuning, but every once in a while it still got weird.
No track times, or dyno numbers though. Car ran OK, but I'd venture to say that more tuning was required. It's not a 'drop it in and go' cam. You'll need tuning, for sure. And it'll take a while to get the tuning dead nuts on.

Re: G5X2 A4 guys
I already have a tuner that is considered one of the best tuners out there right now. He has G5X2 working perfect in A4's. 950 idle with a/c on or off. But I will be getting the bigger converter. The 3600 isn't enough stall for me right now anyways, and i'm hearing awesome things about the PT4000. I'll keep you guys updated because it seems not many A4 guys are running this cam.

G5X-2 with a 4L60E and a TCS 4200 convertor made 435/457 locked and 420/457 unlocked. It made 545/614 unlocked with a 100 shot of nitrous. With 3.73 gears it drives great on the street. Idle is very lopey but steady at 950. No issues with the A/C on. Mileage took a big hit (duh) but performance is great.

Re: G5X2 A4 guys
I have mine g5 in a 347 forged motor with an a4 when i went to the track i went 11.57 118.50 with minor tune that i could do. And with a trans going out having to get out off the gas to shift from second to third. With speed inc dyno tune and my trans is at chuck FLP and the weather getting nice and cool i would like to see a low 11's possible 10 with a good hook.
