I have a 230/236 .573 .578 114 LSA with 56 CC Lingenfelter 5.3's.

COMP promised me it would fit. Im still going to check, but it sounds like it will fit.

I think 2.02 and 1.58? I was just trying to remember. It might have a smaller exhuast valve. A guy that used to work for W2W told me he has almost the exact same setup as mine with this exact cam and it cleared. What do you think? What your in/ex duration?

Also, this is on a 110 ICL

mill the heads .030 for just under 10:1 scr
a ls6 z06 cam from 02-04 will put your engine around the 400-420bhp range.
with milled heads, ls6 intake and even with stock manifolds. use ls6 rod bolts with the rods, to keep the price low. speed pro makes excellent replacement pistons and rings which cost around 400$ or less with rings. up to .060 over bore
FWIW If you do end up replacing the Pistons with Speed Pro's you can purchase flat top pistons by getting them for an LS2 application. They are the same exact demension and is in fact the same piston application Gm uses with for the LQ9 application. If you cross refrence them at the dealer it shows the same part number for LS2 and LQ9... if you try to look for aftermarket LQ9 pistons you won't find them and when you call the piston manufactures they tell you they are not avalible for the LQ9 because they are un aware of this. The LS2/LQ9 Piston uses a floating Pin so you will either need LS2 rods or Bush the existing rods for use with the floating pin.

As far as the early crankshafts (99-00) goes, the rear flange area was 1.25 wide or thick how ever you want to describe it and have a Casting number 12552215

The Noramal size ones for 01 - up should measure approx .860 wide/thick and have a Casting number 12552216

Here is some info with pictures...

5.3L, 5.7 LS1 and 6.0L are the same exact crank... They are how ever Balanced differently for there specific set up. A true LS1 crank also had a 1 Inch hole gundrilled through the center of the mains to help save weight. The all share the same Casting number 12552216
Here is a side by side crank picture.
