TR224 with a 7.350" Pushrod?
I need some more power so I thinking about running the TR224 cam with 114 LSA with the stock heads. And just buying some Comp Cams 26918 Valve Springs and using stock retainers and such, money is sorta tight now cause my mom is stupid but that is a diffrent story. So my question is I already have some brand new Comp Cams 7.350 pushrods sitting here so can I just use those for the TR224 or can do I need to use a 7.400 pushrod?

Re: TR224 with a 7.350
Just for reference, when should someone use a 7.35" pushrod? I can only see it as when someone has milled heads and stock cam, someone has milled heads and same base circle as stock cam, or someone has an aftermarket cam and some seriously milled heads. Or, if someone needs very little preload, they would need shorter pushrods, also correct?

To add to what quickWS6 asked, does the TR224 have a smaller base circle than the stock cam - and if so, does it require a larger pushrod?
I bought mine as a kit from TR, and have the stock 7.40" rods, but want to double-check...

Yes, the TR224 has a .030" smaller base circle then stock. The TR pushrods are .015" longer then stock, and if using stock lifters, it should not be a proclems. Even stock pushrods should be fine with stock lifters.

That'll be too short. You want the 7.400 for stock heads. BTW, that's the cam I have and it's awesome!
For all that may be interested, my head/cam combo only costed me $1899.00 (stage 2) at Speed Inc.
