MTI changed, now need resleeved block for under $2k.

Well I called up Speed Inc. They are still doing the dry sleeves, and they are indeed $1995 with a core just like MTI was. Is anyone here running a Speed Inc. resleeved block at all?
Other than that it looks like everyone is moving to the expensive Darton wet sleeves. In fact, Speed Inc. told me they were planning to start doing the Darton's soon also!
Will I have that big of a problem going with either the dry or the wet setup? It's gonna be one or the other, sure can't afford $6,000 for a C5-R block, because thats about $2000 more than the budget for my entire motor!

I bought an ARE block for like $2500 over the winter. I think their sleeve process if differant then MTI's and seems to be holding up well. I am very curious of how many bad sleeved blocks(from all companies) have happened though. I get bad vibes from untold stories that I see hinted at in some posts.

So it looks like Speed Inc. is one of the last doing the dry sleeve setups, at $1,995, said shipped from where they were at would be under $100. I called ARE and they quoted $2,500 ish and another 200 or so to ship from their shop up in Canada, and that would mean another 200 to send my core back, jeeze! Too rich for my blood.
I'll work on some more sponsors Monday.
