sorry for the last reply...i was a little late. if you want to hear for sure what bad lifters sound like, go to youtube.com and type in sethvalla i have two videos of my engine in which my lifters were bad. they were video'ed about a month apart so you can tell that it got progressively louder as it got worse.

It's not processed yet, but the main noise is at the end... the last 5 seconds.

The other noise is... I'm not even really sure. Sounds like a belt.

The noise can be be desribed as a diesel or washing machine that's unbalanced (wobbly).

If it has a green cap on it it's EVAP. The EPA mandates the green cap. You need the release tool to unlatch the tabs on the fuel line fitting. The tool is cheap and available at you local auto store.

How did you check if the pushrods were bent? you can't tell by eye unless it's real bad, roll them on glass and you'll know if they're bent or not.

It is a bad idea to replace stock pushrods with hardened ones when everything else is stock and they arenl't needed. If you miss a shift or some how over rev the engine you are going to have PTV contact instead of a simple bent pushrod.
