Its almost a baby solid cam profile.

If you want to follow Patrick and go with this "old man on Viagra" cam... You better have a set of double springs.

Stock lifters get a little iffy when you run the spring pressure that I do, but they seem to be holding up to them OK (25k miles on Crane 99893 double springs and stock lifters).

Well Patrick, are there any concerns over the lifters?

The reason I say what I say with that intake lobe reguarding lifters and valve springs is that I have used a lobe indentical to it.

214 duration @ .050 and .353 lift at the lobe

It's a Comp Lobe, it's actually a really good choice.

To run a engine at 6000+rpm with that lobe you need the lifters and springs to control the valve and keep up with it.

My combo used 1.6:1 rocker arms, Hi Tech Pushrods, Comp 977 springs, and the Pro Mag lifters, all of this at the recomendation of Comp and the Engineer there. (he designed the lobes) The seat pressure on the springs was about 155 and it worked really well since the lifters and springs controlled the valve all the way up to 6900rpm!

That's why I said that.

I love to give my two cents in this thread but almost all of it is chinese to me, I am learning though...I'll just sit on the side line until I understand. I learned alot on handling on this site. It really helps!!

Is there a version of this cam that would work well with stock heads?

Or are the heads a big part of the power equation here?

Also what would this package actually cost 'complete' and what would it include?

This cam sounds REAL nice, exactly what i'm looking for but if the stock lifters can't handle it that is going to be a problem cause I didn't really want to have to take the heads off unless I was putting better ones on.

Although you say 25k miles on stock lifters and no problems yet? How much do you race the car? What are the "normal" operating conditions of this motor?

Still dyno numbers for this cam?

I'm seriously thinking about this cam to go with MTI Stage II LS6 heads. With those, QTP headers, and all the bolt-ons, might I expect better than 400 RWHP? Hmmmm.....?

i got an email and jason from TR said they are scheduled to install one of these cams in an M6 so as to put out a dyno graph to the net and public. so i guess we will still have to wait.
