Ill find the page, but it said not to soak them that it has a special coating internally, just to lightly oil up the out side before install......but that so SUCKS what happened regardless.

Ya your lifter has came apart. Also I've always heard that your supposed to soak the lifters in whatever oil your using a few hours before you install them. I did this with my LS7 lifters without any issues. Looks like you will be needing to remove the heads once again so you can get that lifter out or go ahead and replace all of them.

No i mean take the push rods out of the engine put them on a table and see if they are exactly the same length.

does it have the stock cam in it?

try this. put 4 push rods in the engine on the same side that is issue and see if the travel is the same on 2 cylinders next to each other, turn the car over by hand.

Default It was a lifter!!!!..yipppeee

Thank Goodness...I was sittting there dumbfounded, and ****** in aww..The cam was good, there was no nicks or scratches anywhere..then i decided to shake a lifter and found out that it did collapse..

Um What did i do???-colla.jpeg

The part where the pushrod sits on was pushed way down, and when you shake it it rattles..So the lifter wasn't bleeding off, Shane (LS1W) took it apart and found some dirt in it..Im guessing from the graphite head gasket..Thats what it looked like..So i cleaned all the lifters out for peace of mind..And now am putting everything back together...

Whew...****** too close for me
